BetMGM Strengthens NHL Partnership With New NHL-Themed Casino Games

BetMGM has taken another step to broaden its online casino game offerings. Last week, the online casino brand announced a new series of NHL-branded casino games. The nationally recognized brand has taken this strategic step just days before the start of the NHL season.

The new online casino games include NHL-themed roulette, blackjack, baccarat, and Dream Catcher. The announcement comes after a partnership extension between the National Hockey League and BetMGM in February of this year. 

BetMGM Director of Gaming, Oliver Bartlett, commented on the partnership. “The launch of these one-of-a-kind games further strengthens our relationship with the NHL. As the season approaches, we’re thrilled that our players will have the ability to ‘drop the puck’ with BetMGM,” said Bartlett.

The new NHL-themed BetMGM games were developed in collaboration with Evolution and feature NHL-branded content. The new games will be available on BetMGM’s mobile and desktop sites in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Ontario.

“We’re excited to broaden our relationship with BetMGM through the development of NHL-branded casino games, particularly when these new platforms allow us to deepen the connection NHL fans have to our sport in a more immersive and compelling way. We look forward to collaborating with BetMGM on other fan-centric efforts in years to come,” said NHL Vice President of Business Development Jason Jazayeri. 

Featured Games

The new games utilize three-dimensional renderings and animations that make the games look as real as possible. As with many BetMGM titles in their library, each game features a ‘go live’ button that takes players to the live dealer version of each game. When players click the ‘go live’ button, they’ll be taken to the BetMGM library of live dealer games. 

The NHL Roulette game is your standard roulette game featuring realistic ball movements and interactive results. The game also keeps track of previous spins, allowing you to track your previous wagers.

NHL Baccarat is similar to BetMGM’s standard live baccarat but features NHL-themed content.

The new NHL Blackjack will be particularly exciting for players, with the game taking place in an NHL arena skybox. The game also allows players to virtually move between seats.

The last NHL-themed game, Dream Catcher takes place directly on the ice. The gameplay is the same as BetMGM’s original Dream Catcher game. The Wheel Of Fortune style game starts with players selecting a number and color of their choice before the game spins the large vertical wheel. If the wheel stops on your selected number, then you win!
