Consumers in Ontario can now place wagers on a wide range of professional sports and events through the DraftKings Sportsbook, including the 2022 NHL Playoffs, Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer and the FIFA World Cup. More than 130 online casino game variations such as slots, baccarat, blackjack and roulette will be available to them. Along with access to DraftKings’ parlay options, including its same-game-parlay feature.
The double launch comes after DraftKings’ licence application in Ontario was approved, six weeks after the Canadian province opened its online gaming markets on 4 April. While local lotteries have traditionally dominated this area in the past, Canada’s current combined online sports betting and iCasino markets in 2022 are estimated at more than $2bn. With Ontario projected to become one of North America’s largest iGaming markets.

Its sportsbook is live in Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming. It is also the official sportsbook provider of the Oregon Lottery with an exclusive market access partnership with Tulalip Tribes of Washington to bring its retail sportsbook to the state.
DraftKings will now be accessible to roughly 15 million Canadians in the province, joining other major operators like bet365, FanDuel, PointsBet, Rush Street Interactive, BetMGM, Caesars and theScore Bet.Players with iPhone or Android can download the DraftKings Sportsbook app on the App Store or Google Play Store.
